DragonBoard is a UL Certified & UL Tested Magnesium Oxide Panel with rated floor & wall assemblies.
Sourcing
DragonBoard Exclusive UL Design G575 per ASTM E119 for 2 hour rated floor/ceiling assembly. DragonBoard is mold, fungus & insect-free per ASTM G21.
DragonBoard is impact resistant per ASTM D 5628. DragonBoard MgO is diaphragm tested as per ASTM E455. There are a few more listed on the submittal sheet sent over. DragonBoard is Silica, Asbestos & VOC free.
Manufacturing
Because the manufacturing process relies on a mineral-based chemical reaction rather than a high-heat combustion process, DragonBoard has a significantly lower carbon footprint than its competitors. It effectively "traps" CO2 during the curing process, making it a favorite for LEED-certified and sustainable building projects.
Testing
DragonBoard ensures superior acoustic comfort in multi-family and commercial projects through its rigorously tested UL G575 floor/ceiling assembly. Proven on standard 10-inch steel framing, our system achieves a Sound Transmission Class (STC) of up to 59 to block airborne noise and an Impact Insulation Class (IIC) of up to 64 with carpet to dampen footsteps. Whether you are installing soft carpeting, stone tile, or Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), DragonBoard delivers code-compliant sound suppression (IIC 50+) using standard sound mats and isolation clips, providing a versatile, quiet solution for every level of your build.
