DragonBoard structural subfloor for construction professionals
FOR STEEL FRAMING CONTRACTORS

Add the subfloor to your scope. Same crew. Same tools. More revenue per project

DragonBoard installs with a circular saw and a screw gun on the cold formed steel joists you already framed. Take the deck scope back from the gypcrete sub, control your project schedule, and add revenue per square foot.

WHY STEEL CONTRACTORS CHOOSE DRAGONBOARD

The subfloor your existing crew can install with the tools they already own

You frame the floor. Then you wait while a gypcrete sub coordinates a pour crew, a pump truck, and a cure window before the next trade can start. Their schedule controls yours. Their delays land on your timeline. And the GC pays them for work your crew is fully capable of doing.

DragonBoard changes that calculus. The same crew that installs your steel joists installs the deck. Standard fasteners. Standard tools. 22 panels per skid, boomed to floor level, installed dry. You own the entire structural shell from framing through finished deck.

THE STEEL CONTRACTOR ADVANTAGE

Built around how steel framers actually expand a project scope

Scope Expansion Without Tools or Training

Standard circular saw and screw gun. Grabber CGH8185LG fasteners on a standard pattern. No specialized equipment, no new certifications. Your existing crew is productive on day one.

Revenue Per Project

Subfloor scope adds material and labor revenue your crew already has capacity for. More dollars per project from the same field hours.

A Schedule You Control

No waiting on a gypcrete sub, a pump truck, or a cure window. Your crew installs the deck as part of the framing sequence. The next trade starts when you finish.

One Source for the Structural Shell

DragonBoard plus Super Stud cold formed steel framing means you bid the entire structural shell from one supplier. Joists, track, studs, subfloor. Simpler procurement, integrated technical support.

contact us
Will my framing crew know how to install DragonBoard?

Yes. DragonBoard installs with a circular saw and a screw gun on the cold formed steel joists your crew already framed. Standard fastener pattern (Grabber CGH8185LG, 6 inches on edges, 12 inches in field). Most crews are productive on the first day. We provide installation training and a technical hotline for field questions.

How do I bid the subfloor scope alongside framing?

Most contractors bid the subfloor scope on a per square foot installed basis, including material and labor. We can support pricing on a project specific basis. Submit project details through the form and our team will work the numbers with you.

How does DragonBoard handle lateral loads as a structural diaphragm?

Tested per ASTM E455 for diaphragm performance. Shear capacity meets or exceeds plywood and OSB alternatives in equivalent assemblies. Engineering documentation available with the spec package.

Can I get jobsite support for my first installation?

Yes. We provide field support for first time installations, including a site visit from our technical team, crew training on standard fastener patterns and seam treatment, and a hotline for live questions during the install.
